My Dad Strikes Again. He might make you cry this time

virvlade iväg i vinden.

The Briefcase

Hello, It's Sara's dad again. I just have to tell you about an incident that happened a long time ago.

Some memories just engrave themselves, this is one of them.

Late one night I flew up to Västervik. When I came to the charter hall to pick up the passenger there was only one, sad looking man, sitting there alone. Because it was a Saturday night the little airport was empty och there he was, abandoned looking, with his long trench coat and his brown briefcase. Apparently his father had died earlier that night and he now had to fly down to his parents house.
On our way out, the nose of the plane caught fire so I had to throw him and his briefcase off. While I was solving the situation he just stood there quietly without questions, waiting in the snow. I made sure he got a beer and a sandwich while I got another plane. When I got back to the charter hall the sandwich and the beer were untouched. Still no questions. Eventually we landed in Västervik. The tarmac outside of the terminal was bare, except for a patch of ice right in front of the stairs of the airplane. Naturally he steps right down on the icy patch. He goes flying and lands with the back of his head on the asphalt after which he faints. The briefcase is thrown in the air too and all his papers whirl away in the wind. With the help of his siblings we carry him into the terminal and call an ambulance.
Unfortunately I never found out what happened to him.
That man definitely had one of his heavier days.

  1. ok, Ulk....i absolutely and solely prohibit you from writing stories without ending.

Once upon a time, a girl named Maria read a story in a blog, by a Swedish Pilot named Ulf. The story interested her and made her think. She read with excitement wondering what will happen at the end, but then found out, Ulf did not know the ending.
Now she cries at night, wondering what happened to that poor guy who lost his dad, missed his plane and fell on ice.

    Poor guy!!!!
